The 2008 INA Annual Conference was a wonderful success! All attendees had opportunities to learn, network, relax and have a lot of fun. The speakers were knowledgeable and interesting. The many exhibitors provided us with interesting and varied products. We even had two massage therapists who worked out the knots in our backs and necks!

As always, a goal of the conference is to bring people, within our industry, together. To connect with one another, not through e-mail or chat rooms or the telephone, but in person, is a luxury in the technologically advanced 21st century. This year, as in past years, this was a gift that conference offered us. And, I have to say, INA conference attendees do a great job of connecting with one another. Whether at poolside for the cocktail party, or on the bus going to Epcot, laughter and talk filled the air! So, I would like to thank all of the attendees for creating such a wonderful and warm atmosphere.
The workshops were informative and varied. The speakers were organized, well prepared, and understood our industry. Everyone left with nuggets of information that they will be able to apply to their respective professions.
The raffle was a huge success and a highlight of the conference that we all look forward to every year. Donna Robinson did a great job of organizing it. She and her team were selling raffle tickets until the 11th hour! Unfortunately, my strategy of buying the tickets with numbers that followed Becky Kavanagh’s didn’t pay off. She was one of the big winners last year and I thought if I had ticket numbers that followed hers, some of her luck might rub off on me. I have an entire year to come up with some equally illogical strategy. But, isn’t that part of the fun?
We are now beginning to work on conference 2009, which will be our 24th! We will keep our membership abreast of the plans as things come together. We do not yet have a site, but we are working to find the location that will serve us best. We invite you to attend and experience the magic we share when we come together!
