International Nanny AssociationReview of Beyond Peanut Butter and Jelly

6-12-01The recipes in Beyond Peanut Butter and Jelly are family friendly and full of surprise ingredients. Mom, Dad, and older sibs will enjoy the spicier dishes (like stuffed Jalapenos) and the more sophisticated offerings (such as Hot Crab Meat Dip and Chicken Soufflé). The littlest taste buds in the house will enjoy the more whimsical offerings that include things like a chicken casserole with a potato chip crust, Apple Pizza, and Creepy Cookie Critters.
The nanny-authors have a lock on tasty comfort food. Special recipes for holidays are the book's strongest suit. Anyone cooking for kids will be able to use this book to customize menus for St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Halloween, Hanukkah and Christmas. Many of the recipes offer the added bonus of being simple enough for kids to make - with a little help.
While you may not have a nanny in the house, at least you can borrow the cumulative kitchen wisdom that graces the pages of Beyond Peanut Butter and Jelly.
